Blaenau Ffestiniog.

Surrounded by wonderful mountains, Bwthyn Glan yr Afon is perfect for lovely scenic walks and mountain biking, or enjoying outdoor pursuits such as canoeing and climbing at Plas y Brenin National Mountain Centre, bike trails at Coed-y-Brenin, one of the best mountain bike centres in Britain, discovering the magnificent slate caverns at Blaenau Ffestiniog, or visiting bustling Porthmadog with its individual shops, inviting eateries and colourful marina. With the enormous beach at Black Rock Sands, the picturesque National Trust Bodnant Gardens and the majesty of Mount Snowdon all within easy reach, Bwthyn Glan yr Afon is the perfect, all year round holiday retreat. The cottage is away from the main thoroughfare, and with no passing traffic makes it a ‘perfect getaway from it all’ location. There are some fantastic walks, lakes & waterfalls from the cottage, and the area is great for fishing and golfing. The Lakeside café is only a 2 minute walk from the cottage and the village pub is about a 20 minute walk away.
The slate mining town of Blaenau Ffestiniog is only 1.5 miles away and offers an array of eating establishments, pubs, shops, chemist, garage & leisure centre/swimming pool. Blaenau Ffestiniog is also the home to the World Famous Ffestiniog Narrow Gauge Steam railway which links to the harbour town of Porthmadog.

• The lounge is warm & welcoming with a real feel of Olde world charm & character. Exposed beams are throughout the lounge and the exposed stone inglenook houses a multi fuel stove which is set on a slate hearth.

• Downstairs bathroom with bath, shower attachment over, low level WC and basin. Well appointed and modern in design.

• Bed Linen, towels and tea towels are all provided, together with the following ‘consumables’: Washing up liquid, washing up brush, cloth & sponge, washing powder/liquid, dishcloths, and tea towels. Liquid soaps by washbasins, toilet roll and bin bags. We also provide a small supply of Tea, Coffee & Sugar and there is also a condiment set of Salt, Pepper & Vinegar.
• Off road parking on first come first served basis in allocated parking bay opposite cottage.
